Mary Burton - FWA Celebrity Author and FWF pre-conference seminar/workshop
Mega-bestselling Mary Burton (23 novels in 11 years) will be the Celebrity Author at the October 2013 FWA conference, and FWF pre-conference seminar/workshop. We are extremely excited to have her participating in our conference! Mary has also donated 21 advance copies of The Seventh Victim, to be released in February 2013. Kaye Coppersmith, passed away suddenly on April 5, 2012. Kaye's passing leaves a huge hole in FWA, in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and in the world of writing.
Kaye was an FWA Regional Director, creator and coordinator of FWA’s Editing Service, creator and designer of FWA’s t-shirt program, as well as personal editor and mentor to hundreds of writers across the state.
Kaye Coppersmith will be forever remembered as Chris Hamilton described her when he presented the vice president’s award in 2010—as the welcoming arms of FWA. Leona Bodie was the recipient of our 2012 award.
In Kaye's honor, the Board of Directors of FWA has created the Kaye Coppersmith Award, to be given annually at the conference. Please click here to complete the form to nominate this year’s candidate.
